Golf Tournament

The Third Cen Cal Business Finance Group Golf Tournament was held on Friday, April 3, 2009 at the Fig Garden Golf Course in Fresno, California.  On a beautiful spring day, 140 Cen Cal supporters were provided a prime rib lunch before stepping onto the course for 18 holes of golf.  In a scramble and best ball format, 116 golfers worked their magic with the clubs to bring in the lowest score, hit the longest drive, come closest to the pin or even make that hole in one, which would have won them $10,000.  Afterwards all gathered at the club house for refreshments and to discuss “what would have been, should have been and what will be next time” and to accept their prizes.

At the luncheon, Executive Director Robert Garcia expressed appreciation to all for attending and stated that the golf tournament was our “thank you” for everyone’s support of our programs and our continued efforts for economic development in the area.  He also expressed a very large “thank you” to all who sponsored the event and whose names and logos are listed on the accompanying page.
